The Scarlet Cord: Conversations with God’s Chosen Women is finally in print. I say finally because it’s been a five-year project. That’s nothing compared to the thousands of years these biblical women have waited to tell their side of things, so no big deal there. O Books of England did a great job.

Pictured above is Ruth, one of twelve women featured in the book. She had quite a trek from Moab to Bethlehem with her mother-in-law, Noami, but she made it by gathering up her courage and putting one foot in front of each other. She COULD have stayed home, COULD have stayed with her own mother, with her own people, but she did what she thought was right…and was one of four foreign women to show up in Jesus’ genealogy. She changed history, like the other eleven women in the book.
